UW School of Social Work Event Series on Immigration & Labor rights

This UW Social Work series joins the historic struggle for labor justice by exploring the intersections among immigration and labor rights and creating space to make connections with organizations working on labor and immigrant rights in Seattle area.

April 30th marks the start of series that lasts for a month and SWIA will also participate in tabling prior to panel discussion! come and meet us!

Panelists: Robert Beiser (Seattle Against Slavery) , Maggie Cheng (Northwest Immigrant Rights Project), Danielle Friedman (Community Alliance for Global Justice)

With invited organizations, we will explore how policies and practices under a globalized economy impact immigrant workers in our local communities.Learn how we can take action as individual &/or social worker to advocate for immigrant workers & make meaningful impact at local, societal and global level.
